Editorial Policy
This page explains how content on Terrible Lizards Wiki is produced, verified and corrected. It applies to every guide and page on the site.
1. Source tiers
We rank information by how verifiable it is, and we label pages accordingly:
- Tier 1 — Official: the official Steam page and Q&A, Xbox Wire, and the in-game tapes and environmental storytelling. Highest confidence; used for dates, platforms, pricing and confirmed features.
- Tier 2 — Hands-on: the free two-part demo on Steam, and the retail build from launch day. Numbers, timings and routes reported at this tier were observed in play, not estimated.
- Tier 3 — Community: Steam forums, Reddit and Discord reports. Treated as unconfirmed until reproduced, and attributed when used.
2. How we label unverified content
Terrible Lizards releases on October 29, 2026. Where a page describes systems that cannot be fully tested yet, the page says so rather than presenting speculation as fact. We revise pages as soon as firmer information is available.
3. AI assistance disclosure
We use AI tools for drafting, structuring and translation. Every AI-assisted page is reviewed by an editor who checks factual claims against the source tiers above, removes unverifiable statements and corrects errors. AI is a drafting aid, not a publisher: the editorial team is responsible for what appears on the site.
4. Corrections and updates
If you find an error, email [email protected] with the page URL and the issue. We review correction requests within 48 hours. Substantive changes are marked with a dated note on the page (for example, “Updated 2026-11-05: corrected frame-rate details”). We do not mass-update dates without changing content.
5. Independence
We do not accept payment for reviews, rankings or positive coverage, and we do not sell links. Advertising is served programmatically through third-party networks and is kept separate from editorial content.
